ImageGlitch App Reviews
What a crappy application! It doesn’t go beyond the opening of a file… it just crashes time after time! Specially if youre using a TIFF file you will have to force the app to quit. And with JPG it just gives you one or two lines of code that you can’t change at all or the whole image dissapears. Seriously lousy application! I wish I could get the 1.00 dollar back with interests for the time wasted!
CRAP
Absolute crap! I wish I read the only review. I was so excited to find this app, but this isn’t even worth the $1 I payed. DON’T BUY IT.
Its an interesting program. Basically, it opens an image in a text editor. (which means its just gibberish gobeldygook.) And then shows you a preview of the image on the other side. As you manually delete lines of the text, it will distort the image. No different from if you opened the picture in a text editor and removed lines on your own, except with ImageGlitch, you get instant visual feedback. Which is cool. Not sure of the practical use for being able to do this, but its neat to experiment I guess.. However, since you do have to edit things manually, itd be cool to have a feature to randomly distort the image (randomly remove lines in the code, maybe a slider to pick how drastic the removal is). Thats my only suggestion to really make this cool.
fun
this app is super fun to mess around with. you can also get some cool looking photos out of it!
Like the idea but the app lacks feature...
You can do more with a photoeditor in less time...
So all it does is takes out chunks of your pictures in forms of lines. Of course, I thought perhaps Im not doing it correctly,..so of course I accessed their help section and…big surprise…a box appears and says "Help isnt available for ImageGlitch" You just got a hard-earned dollar of mine. Spend it wisely.
doesnt work at all
I got a split screen with the photo I wanted to edit on the right and a bunch of encrypted code on the left. No buttons, no options, no nothing.
For anyone who is interested in glitching the photos the old school way (opening it in a text editor and just hacking away at the data), there is simply no better tool than ImageGlitch. It’s similar to the old school technique, but ImageGlitch allows you to see your edits in real time, which makes the whole process so much smoother and gives you a real understanding of how affecting parts of the code correlate to the final image.
This software doesn’t really work anymore, in 10.10 Apple changed the image rendering engine so most glitched images appear blank. I would have reported this to the developer instead of leaving a review, but it appears their help website has been taken down and no information is avaialble about this software on the site at all.
